Hyundai Introduces The R260LC-9A Crawler Excavator
Hyundai Construction Equipment Americas introduces the newest edition to the 9-Series lineup. The Hyundai R260LC-9A has an operating weight of 56,880 lbs, a maximum digging depth of 23′ and a bucket digging force of 38,290 lbf.
The 9-Series crawler excavators have large reinforced cabs with excellent 360 degree visibility. You get improved engine and hydraulic technologies powered by CAPCO (computer assisted optimization system”, and Hi-mate remote management system that uses GPS and the internet to let you access machine data from anywhere in the world.
The R260LC-9A is powered by the Tier 4 Interim-compliant, 178 horsepower Cummins QSB6.7 with Direct Flow, an air filter that delivers better fuel economy. The engine is also equipped with components the variable speed fan clutch, two-stage auto decel system and new economy mode designed to conserve fuel and reduce environmental impact. Engine modes give the operator the option of 3 different modes including power, standard and economy, which allows the machine to switch between full power and reduced fuel consumption.
Operator Comfort and safety
The cabs of the 9A-Series machines have been completely redesigned with stronger but slimmer tubing developed for safety and visibility. The ROPS frame is designed with high-strength steel. As far as features, the cab is equipped with upper skylight, large one piece right side glass, safety glass windows throughout and closeable sun shade. For comfort, the operator can easily adjust the seat, armrest and console to his or her preferences.
Additional cab features include:
- Enhanced climate control system
- Advanced audio system with USB player, AM/FM stereo and MP3 capabilities
- An “Optional” add on is a Smart Key System that allows the operator to start the ignition with the push of a button
Hi-mate Remote Management System
Hi-mate is a newly developed remote management system that utilizes GPS-satellite technology to provide customers with the highest level of service and product support available. Hi-mate allows you to remotely access and evaluate your machines performance. This technology allows you to monitor diagnostic information and it gives you the machines location at the push of a button.
Serviceability and Components
Ground-line access to filters, lube fittings, fuses, machine computer components and wide open compartments makes service more convenient on the 9A series. 9A Series excavators are designed with bushings with long-lift lube intervals (250 hrs), polymer shims (wear resistant, noise reducing), long-life hydraulic filters (1,000 hrs), long-life hydraulic oil (5,000 hrs), more efficient cooling systems and integrated preheating systems which extend service intervals, minimizing operating costs and reducing machine down time.
