Alliance Truck Parts Expanded Their Offerings
At the request of both customers and dealers, Alliance Truck Parts has expanded its line of clutches and brake drums. The additional parts are intended to better serve owners of medium-
and heavy-duty truck owners.
New medium-duty clutches
Dealers were asking the company to carry clutches for newer engines, says Wayne Turner, aftermarket product marketing manager for Daimler Trucks North America. Alliance Truck Parts is a division of DTNA. Expanding the line means four new clutch models are now available for customers running medium-duty engines, augmenting the existing line of products for heavy-duty engines.
Turner says these clutches are “more durable than ever.” If you are considering a new Alliance clutch, Turner recommends consulting your dealer to choose the right fit. You’ll need to consider both engine flywheel bore size and torque ratings.
New RSD steel axle brake drums
Alliance has also added seven new reduced stopping distance (RSD) brake drums to fit vehicles up to 14,700 lbs. gross axle weight rating. Each drum is 16.5” x 5” in size and has been designed to prevent “shoe slap” and vibration. Turner says the new RSD steel axle brake drums are a response to requests for a product cast and machined in the US, to ensure top quality performance as well as safety and durability. He says the “great price” is an added bonus.
Clutches and brake drums from Alliance Truck Parts come with a 1-year/unlimited-mile nationwide warranty. If you’re on the road, you’ll have plenty of locations to choose from if you need service. The Network includes Freightliner, Western Star, Sterling, Thomas Built Bus dealers in Canada and the US, plus Travel Centers of America and Petro. If you need service regionally, you won’t have to go any farther than Tracey Road Equipment.
