Our History & Growth

1976

Introduced

Established in Syracuse, NY

In 1976, our President, Jerry Tracey, started the Tracey Companies out of a small shop in Syracuse, NY. Having previously worked at a construction dealership, he already had a hand in the trucking and construction industries. Throughout our earliest years, Jerry shopped for the highest-quality and best names in the business and became the appointed dealer for many of the leading quality product lines that we still proudly represent today.

1985

Expanded into to Binghamton

Fueled by early success and growing demand, Tracey Road expanded into Binghamton, NY, extending its commitment to quality service across Central New York.

1996

Opening of Albany Location

With its eyes set east, the company opened its Albany location, enhancing its reach and establishing a stronger presence in New York’s Capital Region.

1998

New Facility in Watertown

Tracey Road grew northward with a new facility in Watertown, NY, ensuring local support and services for customers near the Canadian border.

2006

Branch Added in Rochester

Continuing its western expansion, Tracey Road opened in Rochester, NY—bringing our trusted sales, rental, parts, and service offerings to a new market.

2017

New Location in Queensbury

The Queensbury location opened to serve the eastern Adirondack and Vermont border regions, reflecting our ongoing investment in local communities.

2018

Strategic Growth in Utica

A strategically located Utica branch opened its doors, increasing efficiency and support for customers in the Mohawk Valley.

2023

Pennslyvania Expansion

First Pennsylvania Branch in Wilkes-Barre

Marking our first step into Pennsylvania, the Wilkes-Barre location was launched to serve customers across the Northeast with the same dependable care.

2024

Major Expansion in Utica, NY

Our Utica location underwent a major expansion in 2024, reinforcing our long-term commitment to growth and operational excellence in Central NY.

New Full-Service Facility in DuBois

Our move into the Pittsburgh region marked a key milestone, with the Zelienople location providing industry-leading equipment solutions and support to customers across Western Pennsylvania.

2025

Entering the Pittsburgh Market

As our footprint in Pennsylvania grew, we established a new location in DuBois—bringing our full-service capabilities to the heart of Western PA.

Coming Soon - New Location in Erie

With a new facility planned in Erie, PA, Tracey Road continues to strengthen its service network and deliver industry-leading support across northern Pennsylvania.
